Our Alma Mater
Rashtriya Military School, Bangalore was named King George’s Royal Indian Military College at the time of its inception. The pioneer commandment was Lt Col RHD Ross and the Chief instructor was Maj JW Whitmarsh Knight. However in 1952, these designations were changed to Principal and Administrative Officer respectively. The school housed both Army personnel and civilians staff initially but over time, uniform personnel were phased out and permanent civilians on the staff were recruited. Rashtriya Military School of Bangalore was established with the objective of providing quality education to the sons of the Armed Forces personnel.
Rashtriya Military School, Bangalore, with its modern infrastructure and quality amenities, has housed some of the finest cadets in the country. The school has a state of the art sports complex including an Olympic size swimming pool. The school focuses co-curricular activities along with academics, providing a complete education to its students. With the quality trainingin life skills they receive in the school, the cadets excel not only in academics and co-curricular activities but in all spheres of life. Rashtriya Military School, Bangalore has given this country some excellent officers of the Indian Armed Forces.
