Our Alma Mater
The Rashtriya Military School, Ajmer is situated on picturesque hills of the Queen of Aravalli. It was incepted in 1930 and is the second Rashtriya Military School of the country after Jalandhar (Later Chail). It was named as King George’s Rashtriya Indian Military School at the time of its establishment under the management of Captain WL Clarke, MBE. Initially, the school had a capacity to house 41 cadets only but as with time, the school has grown manifolds. In 1952, it became one of the founding members of the Indian Public School’s Conference.
Rashtriya Military School of Ajmer has one of the best modern infrastructures in the country but it has not lost its rich heritage over the time. The school embraces the culture and tradition of Ajmer and has inculcated it in its environment beautifully. Over the past years the existing old buildings and structures have been modified and improved to match the best available in the location qualitatively. RMS, Ajmer has for company peer institutions like the Mayo College which has developed a healthy rivalry between the schools. This has in turn greatly enhanced the academic and professional content of the school. The alumni of RMS, Ajmer have carved out much sought-after niches for themselves in various domain of public life over the past several years.
